Reciprocal Teaching Task Cards with Instructions

Reciprocal teaching involves placing students in groups, each with a job to do to help others learn. (And in the process, learn more themselves). Could your students use a little support to stay on task during group reading? This set of Reciprocal Teaching Cards (with instructions) provides your students with clear expectations, instructions for each task, and sentence starters for each task. Using these cards will make reading in groups more structured, help students remain focused, and provide a scaffolds for increased reading comprehension. The cards also ensure needed support for English Learners, Sheltered English Immersion (SEI), and Special Education students. I used and improved these in my classroom for many years.
