Close Reading - Fiction and Nonfiction
Helpful for independent or partner work, these are questions that will support students in reading closely, carefully, and thoughtfully. Can be used with any text. There are two sets of questions, one for reading fiction closely, and another that applies to nonfiction texts. My students enjoyed doing this with a short text and a partner. Afterwards, we shared and discussed answers in small groups or whole class. 4 pages
